Why You Should Give Your Cat a Cardboard Box

Give your cat a box!

Cats who have boxes have lower stress levels than cats who do not have boxes. Here’s why:

  • They satisfy your cat’s instinctive need to feel safe and secure with walls on all sides. Hiding isn’t just for scared or shy cats. All cats enjoy it!
  • They boost confidence. Your cat can rub on the box, which deposits pheromones, which makes them feel like they own a little bit of territory in your home.
  • Cats can destroy them, instead of other things in your home. Cats instinctively need to bite, rip, scratch and chew things. So, encourage them to destroy something that was free!
